About Albany Bays Salvation Army

Who We Are

We are a faith community committed to bringing the transforming love of Jesus to the Bays and Albany area, through inspirational biblical teaching, uplifting worship and connecting with others.

We bring hope and support through our weekly programmes including community ministries, youth and children's activities.

Our vision for Albany Bays

Our vision is to be a thriving, Christ-centered community that transforms lives and impacts our city and beyond with God’s love. We aspire to be a beacon of hope, welcoming all people to experience the life-changing power of Jesus, grow in their faith, and live out their purpose.

Through intentional discipleship, compassionate outreach, and empowering leadership, we seek to inspire generations to follow Jesus and make a lasting impact on our world.

People wonder...

Our services include worship, prayer, and a message from the Bible. Services usually last around an hour. Whether you’re exploring faith or have been part of church your whole life, you are welcome here.

Most people dress casually, but you’re welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable. You’ll see everything from jeans to more traditional attire. Some people wear a Salvation Army uniform, but this isn't required and is totally optional.

Not at all. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re curious about faith, returning to church after a long time, or simply visiting with friends or family.

Yes. We offer children’s programmes during the service for different age groups. Our volunteers are trained and our spaces are designed to be safe and welcoming for kids.

Parking is available in front of the main church building. The entrance to the building is signposted, and the main entry is just up the ramp and through the main automatic doors.

Yes. Our church has accessible parking, step-free entry, and accessible toilets. If you have specific accessibility needs, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help

Giving is part of how our regular church community supports the church’s work, but there is no expectation for visitors to give.
